D8000 Series
At just 5cm in depth these are amongst the most eye catching LCD TVs I have seen, you get that must have feeling just looking at them. Switching one on to see the picture quality and the appeal greatens even more, you will be amazed at the sharpness and superb quality both in 2d and 3d where the picture jumps right out at you. The D8000 series is also packed with features galore, use the included Samsung Smart Hub feature and you can bring the Internet into your living room and viewing experience. Online access to Youtube, Skype, Facebook and a whole host of services including access to online movie streams are all available at the touch of a button.
B650 Series
The B650 was until a while ago Samsungs top-of-the-line LCD model, available in 65-inch, 55-inch, 46-inch, 40-inch, 37-inch, 32-inch, and even smaller varieties. The B650 features an attractive design with Samsung’s Touch of Color motif, which adds a subtle tint to the TV’s frame, which might make the difference as to its fit in your room of choice.
Included in the B650’s range of features are: Samsung’s Auto Motion Plus video processing technology with 120Hz refresh rate, for a smooth transition from frame to frame; a 4-milisecond response time; a dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000:1; 4 HDMI inputs; and Samsung’s Medi@2.0 internet and connectivity package, which includes a USB port for photo and other media viewing, and a variety of internet widgets including video on demand through Blockbuster, Twitter, and more. The B650 measures up respectably to any current top-end LCD model.
B640 Series
The B640 series is Samsung’s mid-range LCD unit, available in 55-inch, 46-inch, 40-inch and 32-inch versions. The B640 sports a sleek black frame with a touch of charcoal. This package includes Auto Motion Plus with 120Hz refresh rate, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000:1. The B640 also features 4 HDMI inputs for your HD-capable devices, and Samsung’s InfoLink RSS reader functionality.
B630 Series
The B630 is available in 46-inch and 40-inch units. Its features and specifications are largely the same as those of the B640, along with the more colourful design of the B650, making it perhaps the best of both worlds if you like the B650’s look but not its price tag.
