The FocaLight works in concert with Toshiba’s ClearScan backlight scanning technology, which effectively increases refresh rate to 240Hz for an ultra-smooth picture, even when the image is moving rapidly. Available in 55-inch, 47-inch, and 42-inch versions, the ZV650 is another high-performance LCD from Toshiba, at a more attractive price point. It includes the ClearScan 240 technology, Resolution+ upscaling, and CrystalCoat Contrast Enhancer, which maintains optimal image contrast even with high ambient light, so you don’t have to risk straining your eyes in a dark room in order to get the best possible picture. The ZV650 also boasts DivX certification and a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
XV648 Cinema Series
The XV648 is available in 52-inch, 46-inch, and 40-inch iterations. Although it’s the most affordable of Toshiba’s newest LCD TVs, the XV648 has some very competitive features, including CrystalCoat and Resolution+, ClearFrame 120Hz refresh rate with anti-blur protection, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1.
